Dr. Jay Kim, CEO – ReCarbon speaks at the G20 Circular Carbon Economy Workshop and participates in the Energy Sustainability Working Group

From March 5 – March 8, 2020 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ReCarbon CEO Dr. Jay Kim was invited as a speaker at the G20 Innovations in Circular Carbon Economy Workshop speaking on “Commercial Carbon Emissions Conversion to Value.” Dr. Kim was able to elaborate on ReCarbon’s ability to produce commercially profitable carbon emissions conversion, including cost-competitive renewable hydrogen. This workshop gathered key global energy policymakers from the G20 countries, industry stakeholders, and institutions such as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the International Energy Agency (IEA).

ReCarbon’s carbon utilization technology aligned perfectly with the G20 initiative of the 4Rs: Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Remove, as it pertained to its focus on propagating the Circular Carbon Economy.

Further, Dr. Kim was honored to be one of the very few industry representatives to present at the 1st meeting of the G20 Energy Sustainability Working Group to the official representatives of the G20 countries. By guiding the G20 participants through ReCarbon’s commercialization journey, Dr. Kim encouraged policymakers to provide a regulatory environment and government/industry collaboration to support innovative emissions conversion technologies that could produce profitable outcomes.
